Car bomb blast near a checkpoint in Afghanistan has killed 6 officers

HERAT: A car bomb blast near a security forces checkpoint in the Afghan province of Herat has killed six security personnel and injured four others. According to Afghan media, a car bomb exploded near a security check post in Kohsan district of Herat province last night and clashes with the Taliban killed six personnel and injured four others. Launched a siege operation.

Herat Governor Syed Waheed Qatali confirmed the attack, saying a car bomb had exploded at a security forces checkpoint last night, killing six members of the Public Now Rising Force, while the Taliban and security forces Clashes between them continued for several hours.

On the other hand, the position of the local administration regarding the car bombing and the Taliban attack was not disclosed while no statement has been issued by the Taliban.

It should be noted that two days ago, armed men stormed a security check post in Logar province of Afghanistan, to which the personnel also showed strong resistance and in a clash that lasted for two hours, 9 officers killed.
