Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Global Indian International School, Abu Dhabi was recently announced the winner of Golden Peacock Innovative Product / Service Award for the year 2020 for their exciting initiative, Qutuhal – The Journey of Curiosity. GIIS was presented with this prestigious win by the Awards Jury under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Justice M. N. Venkatachaliah, former Chief Justice of India, Chairman, National Human Rights Commission of India and National Commission for Constitution of India Reforms.The Golden Peacock Awards for Corporate Leadership and Institutional Excellence, over time, have become a hallmark of excellence, both locally and globally.
The award-winning Qutuhal programme, was introduced by GIIS under the school’s visionary initiative, Global Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GCIE)that aimed towards promoting entrepreneurship and innovation among children from a young age. GIIS provides the platform to let students think and explore with experiential learning through various topics from the world of science and technology. GIIS lays special focus on STREAM(Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Art & Math) as a critical tool for academic development where the efforts are geared up to bring scientific literacy at a very early age.
The Qutuhal program offers students an exciting range of opportunities for collaboration, Research, workshops and competitions. The specially crafted programme includes a series of exciting activities on STEM, Robotics, IoT, Space Education, AI and other tech-based topics, giving children a vibrant platform to innovate. Some of the workshops in Qutuhal cover Drone Education, 3D Printing in Education, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Education, and science experiments in the field of Virtual Reality.

This is the second time that GIIS has wonthis accolade. Previously, GIIS won the Golden Peacock Award in 2017 for their Global Montessori Plus (GMP) programme, a Unique, In-house, Innovative Early Childhood Education Framework for early years students.
