He said this while visiting the Regional Directorate of Anti-Narcotics Control, ANF Rawalpindi and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday. The Federal Minister said that facilities for rehabilitation of drug addicts should be further improved. He directed to take steps for immediate rehabilitation of the patients undergoing treatment and said that more such rehabilitation institutes were being considered.

He said that professional training should also be imparted to drug addicts. The federal minister said that the government would extend all possible cooperation for the rehabilitation of drug addicts. He said that care should be taken to ensure that those who recover do not fall prey to this menace again. They should continue to have regular check-ups even after recovery. Federal Minister for Counter Narcotics Ejaz Ahmad Shah while appreciating the performance of ANF said that the struggle will continue till complete eradication of drugs. Overcoming the drug problem is very important for the bright future of the country and the nation.
