Sharjah: The Friends of Breastfeeding Association of the Health Promotion Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah organized on Wednesday a webinar for the Association’s employees and volunteers to share their experiences and insights into the challenges facing community members during home isolation and how to overcome them and to explore ways of fully utilizing technology tools to ensure the sustainability of remote work system.
Headed by Her Excellency Eng. Khawla Al Noman, Head of Breastfeeding Friends Association, the webinar touched on home isolation and how to make the best use of this time, by developing professional skills, increasing the interdependence among family members, exploring the advantages of technology tools and its role in the continuity of students’ learning and the success of the remote work system, and how to optimize time management between professional and family requirements.
Value-added to the Association’s vision
Eng. Khawla Al Noman stated that the Breastfeeding Friends pays great attention to develop the employees’ capabilities, in line with the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs to achieve everything that improves the human being and provides him with health and safety, psychological and physical means.
The webinar is part of the Association’s keenness to foster the role of its employees and volunteers in providing proposals that represent a value-added to the Association’s vision and message, in addition to creating a harmonious workplace that simulates the needs of the employees and enhances their leadership role in driving the path of development and success.
Thanking the Association’s employees and volunteers for their prominent role and their constructive cooperation in serving the society, Al Noman highlighted the importance of the event in enhancing communication between employees and volunteers and stimulate them to share their insights and information about how to turn the challenges of COVID-19 into opportunities by leveraging the home isolation, whether by reinforcing the family bonds or developing professional skills, thanks to the UAE’s sophisticated digital infrastructure which led to the success of working remotely.
Confronting home isolation challenges
The participants underlined the importance of setting priorities and investing the time in developing professional skills, while not neglecting the physical and mental health through the workout at home and engagement in hobbies that help release their creative capabilities.
The webinar also included a medical and cultural contest, through which a number of questions were asked to the employees and volunteers in the Arabic and English language, while the event was concluded with providing an E-participation certificate for the participants.
