Coronavirus: 1.5 million new cases a day worldwide

The World Health Organization (WHO) says the spread of the corona virus is accelerating, with more than 1.5 million new cases reported worldwide on Thursday, more than half of them in the United States.

During a video briefing at the WHO's Geneva headquarters, Director General Tedders said that the world is at a new and dangerous stage, the corona virus is still spreading rapidly and it is still deadly.

Dr. Tedders said more cases are emerging in the United States. He once again called for social distance and extreme alertness.

According to foreign media, 453,834 people have lost their lives due to corona virus so far.
