ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that in order to curb the blasphemy of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), he had raised the issue with the leaders of the Muslim world at the international level. He expressed these views while addressing the ground breaking ceremony of Margalla Highway here on Monday. The Prime Minister congratulated the CDA on launching the project and said that it was an old project but could not go ahead. The population of Islamabad has increased almost one and a half times in the last 20 years, but the proportion of population growth has not led to the construction of infrastructure and roads, which has increased the traffic pressure on the roads. The Prime Minister said that construction of Ring Road is a good project. This will help keep heavy traffic out of the city. He said that Islamabad is a beautiful city with excellent weather. Islamabad gets as much rain as London. Due to the Margalla Hills, it is lush and beautiful and the heat is less. The Prime Minister said that the people of Islamabad care a lot about the environment.
