Strict punishment should be given to police personnel who obstruct the delivery of justice, Prime Minister said

LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Lahore on a one-day visit where a meeting was held in the Chief Minister's House under his chairmanship regarding reforms and performance in Punjab Police.

IG Punjab Inam Ghani briefed the Prime Minister on the reforms and steps being taken to improve the performance of Punjab Police. The proposed proposals of IG Punjab regarding the financial autonomy of the police station and the mechanism of the conciliation council were presented to the Chief Minister.

The Prime Minister directed the IG Punjab to use all means to ensure the safety of life and property of the people, to solve the problems of the people only on merit, to obstruct the delivery of justice In the past, political recruitments were made in the police which caused loss to the people, but no one is above the law and the police did not bring any political influence to mind.

PM Imran Khan further said that people will be satisfied with you when you treat everyone equally and in accordance with the law, police officers use modern technology to eradicate crime and visit police stations.

The Prime Minister was also briefed on the plan based on measures against the Occupy Mafia in Lahore. Informing the Prime Minister about the steps taken so far against the Occupy Mafia and the future course of action, the concerned officials said that the Punjab Government, Lahore Police and Administration have launched a major operation against the Occupy Mafia in Lahore in 1250 acres worth Rs. The land was handed over to the Mafia.

Prime Minister Imran Khan directed that the occupation mafia and thugs should not be pardoned under any circumstances. The Punjab government is doing a good job in taking steps related to the occupation mafia.
