Yawar Bukhari meets Chief Minister, discusses measures for welfare of weaker sections, briefs on performance of department

LAHORE: (DGPR) Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar met Provincial Minister for Finance and Social Welfare Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari at the Chief Minister's Office, in which issues of mutual interest and measures for the welfare of the weaker sections were discussed. He also informed about the performance of the department. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that the welfare of the helpless and weak people is our duty. Effective measures have been taken to bring underprivileged people into the mainstream of development. The scope of shelters and anchorages is being expanded. In the past, the weaker sections were deliberately kept weak. He said that no government has paid attention to the welfare of the deprived economy. In the past, the feelings of the disenfranchised have been hurt and the needs have been ignored. The PTI government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan has supported the weaker sections. The time has come for the deprived classes to be given equal rights and necessities and to be proud of their society. For the first time, acid-affected people are being given full treatment at government expense. Interest-free loans have been provided for the skilled and self-employed people. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has come not for power but for public service. New projects will be introduced for the welfare of the people. We are not the rulers of the people, we are the servants. Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari briefed Chief Minister Usman Buzdar about the ongoing welfare schemes for the deprived sections of the economy. He said that all possible steps were being taken to rehabilitate the backward classes and change their lives.
