LAHORE: At least 14 members of Pakistan Hindu minority community return from India after 6 months saying, " their dreams of economic prospects in the neighbouring country have been shattered". Speaking to journalists at Wagah Border crossing Kanhaya lal and Nanak Ram heads of families said that they went to India for better economic prospects but it was a farce and they suffered great hardships. India recently passed a law allowing Christians, Parsis, Jains and Hindus from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan to apply for fast-track citizenship. The fact is that Hindus there are living in miserable conditions and suffered from extreme poverty and there were dangerous threats to their lives. More than 28000 Pakistani Hindus are stranded in Jodhpur and waiting for their return home.
