LAHORE: On the direction of Provincial Minister for Human Rights Ejaz Alam Augustine, a letter has been written to the IG Punjab regarding the detailed report of various human rights violations across the province by the Human Rights Department. According to details, in Nankana Sahib, a 10-year-old child was raped named Sahil, 06 persons allegedly raped a girl on Jaranwala Road, a woman was raped after being abducted in Kotla Mughlaan, a two-year-old abducted child was killed after alleged rape in Bakar Mandi and in Gujranwala, the ASI tortured on a Girl. The provincial minister had taken notices of all these incidents, has sought detail inquiry reports from the police officials to ensure protection of human rights. Provincial Minister Ejaz Alam Augustine said that the PTI government has ensured the protection of human rights and in this regard any kind of violation will not be tolerated. The provincial minister stressed that there is need to emphasize awareness of human rights so that the common man can be aware of his rights and raise his voice in the relevant forum.
