Abu Dhabi, UAE – In line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, to raise the UAE flag in front of federal and local government buildings across the Emirates to mark UAE Flag Day, the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MFNCA) heeded the call and marked the occasion, which coincides with the anniversary of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan assuming power in the country.
The UAE flag was raised in the courtyard outside the Ministry’s Abu Dhabi headquarters, in the presence of heads of departments and MFNCA employees. All precautionary and preventive measures were implemented and social distancing was maintained, in line with the regulations put in place to ensure the health and safety of the Ministry’s staff.
The MFNCA employees expressed their pride in their country’s flag, adding that flag day is an occasion to reaffirm loyalty to the UAE leadership and assert a sense of belonging to the nation, as it marches forward on its relentless path of development and accomplishment. Moreover, the Ministry’s staff reaffirmed their dedication to hard work and perseverance in an effort to ensure the continued advancement of the UAE and propel it to the fore among nations.
