Rank pinning ceremony of departmental promoted police officers was held at Central Police Office

LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani said that departmental growth and increase in rank in the police service in fact reflects an increase in responsibilities so make sure that you take all possible steps to ensure protection of lives and properties of citizens by observing equal implementation of law and order, merit and best service delivery to every citizen.  He further said that all the supervisory officers should play the role of the best team leader and get better performance from the subordinate staff so that the problems of the citizens could be solved on priority basis.  He further said that the role of supervisory officers is of key importance in transforming Punjab Police from force to service, therefore officers should follow high professional standards and make public service and modern community policing their motto and guidelines of modern policing by using  all available resources to eradicate crime and further improve service delivery.  He expressed these views while talking to the officers promoted to the posts of Additional IG and DIG at the Central Police Office today after placing badges on them. IG Punjab Inam Ghani and Additional IG Establishment Azhar Hameed Khokhar pinned ranks on  officers promoted to new posts.

During the ceremony, CCPO Lahore, Ghulam Mehmood Dogar was promoted to the rank of Additional IG while Jahanzeb Nazir, Sajid Kayani, Ahmad Nawaz Cheema and Sadiq Ali Dogar were promoted to the rank of DIG.  IG Punjab congratulated the promoted officers and wished them all the best for the future.  The promoted officers thanked the IG Punjab and said that they would perform their duty of public service and protection with more diligence and dedication than before.  He further said that police service delivery would be improved as per the principles of community policing for the convenience of the citizens.  DIG Headquarters Shehzada Sultan was also present on the occasion.
